Just over a year has passed since local entrepreneur and Medicine Hat College student Beth Lewis won $10,000 at the MHC Start-Up Company Pitch Competition. Lewis pitched her idea to local judges to expand her business Rustic Rose from handcrafted western jewelry into hand-pressing western apparel for the farming, ranching and rodeo communities.
Since the pitch, Rustic Rose has launched its online store www.rusticrose.org, designed and released multiple clothing lines, supported local events such as Quonset Days and continued to expand the business' offerings.
"The success Rustic Rose has had over the past year is thanks to my amazing customers. Not a day goes by that I am not thankful for the support I receive and that's why the event I am hosting is so important as it is my opportunity to give back to my customers."
The event will take place on June 8th at 7:00 at Medicine Hat College and will feature a Fashion Show and Pop-Up Shop. Tickets include a $10 credit to the Pop-Up Shop and can be purchased at www.rrladiesnightout.eventbrite.ca or at the door.
