Swift Current Skateboarding Inc. (SCSI) hosted an outdoor skateboard competition at the Kiwanis skateboard park in Riverdene Park, Sept. 8. The event was well attended and 14 contestants entered the competition, including some from Regina. There were three categories of competition, based on skill level. SCSI is a non-profit organization that aims to provide a safe and fun environment for skateboarders of all ages. The group will be hosting indoor Thursday skate nights this fall and winter at the Lt. Colonel Clifton Centre from Oct. 25 to March 28. Below are the results of the outdoor skateboard competition:

Advanced/Open – 1st Calvin Wason, 2nd TPR, 3rd Taylor Wotypka; Intermediate – 1st Nick Desloges, 2nd Ayden Moen, 3rd Tyson Huxted; Beginner – 1st Raeya Hartley, 2nd Peydence Hartley, 3rd Jude Pritchard, Best Bail – Nick Desloges.
