Crime Reduction Units specialize in targeting the criminals who hurt our communities the most.

At the time of arrest, individuals arrested by our Crime Reduction Units have, on average, three charges against them.

“Collaboration and partnerships lead to successful arrests,” says Sergeant Gordon Yetman Taber/Vauxhall RCMP Detachment Commander. “Every seizure of drugs and firearms play a crucial part in making our communities safer.”

Taber RCMP worked in conjunction with Southern Alberta Crime Reduction Team (CRT) and Lethbridge Police Service to execute a search warrant in the City of Lethbridge stemming from thefts that occurred within the MD of Taber.

Taber RCMP received a report on Sept. 10 of a business in the MD of Taber that was broken into and several items were stolen.  Property that was stolen was listed for sale online on Sept. 13, 2018 out of Lethbridge. 

Taber RCMP applied for and was granted a search warrant for a residence in Lethbridge.

On Sept. 1 the search warrant was executed and three subjects were arrested at the residence without incident.

Lethbridge Police Service provided numerous resources in the execution of the search warrant, including assistance from their Tactical Team and Property Crimes Unit. Southern Alberta CRT sent several RCMP members who assisted in the identification of property, the arrest of the accused individuals.  RCMP Forensic Ident Unit also attended and assisted with processing the scene.

From the residence, stolen property was recovered and returned back to the rightful owner, drugs and a stolen firearm were also located at the residence and seized by police. Several items stolen during the Sept. 10, 2018 break and enter to the business in the MD of Taber were recovered during the search.

The following individuals are facing charges:

Daniel Chrysler (38) of Lethbridge, was arrested and charged with 16 offences including possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of a weapon obtained by crime. He was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Lethbridge Provincial Court on Sept. 21, 2018.

Dakota Parker (21) of Lethbridge was arrested and charged with 15 offences including possession of stolen property, fail to comply with conditions and careless use of a firearm.  Her was remanded into custody and will be appearing in Lethbridge Provincial Court on Sept. 21, 2018.

Megan Laube (28) of Lethbridge was arrested and charged with 16 offences including possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime for the purpose of trafficking. She was released on conditions and will be appearing in Lethbridge Provincial Court on Sept. 20, 2018.
