The Evans 7’s Swift Current High School Rugby Team traveled to Regina on May 23 for their third set of games this season. They played three games and ended with one win, a loss, and a tie.

They won the first game against O’Neil 43-5 with three new players scoring their first tries of the season. They then played their second game of the season against Campbell. This game was a little rougher and Swift Current lost 32-0. Their final game of the day was against Riffel, which was also for the second time this season. The two teams tied the game at 15-15 and another Swift Current player scored her first try of the season. The Evans 7's Swift Current team will be heading back to Regina for their  final set of games on May 30.

Leader leads the way in high school badminton

The SW badminton players had a successful competition at SHSAA provincials and came home with a gold and a bronze medal.

 The Evans 7’s Swift Current High School Rugby Team started our season early March and will continue to early June.

Chinook School Division sports report

The SW athletes had a successful showing at the SHSAA regional badminton tournament in Moose Jaw on May 5.

The 2018 Rogers WHL Championship shifted south of the border for Game Three between the Swift Current Broncos and the Everett Silvertips. It was an incredible outing for Broncos captain Glenn Gawdin as he notched his first career postseason hat trick as the Broncos came back to stun the Silvertips by a score of 3-2 to grab a 2-1 series lead in the Rogers WHL Championship Series.

Broncos score four in a row, win game two

What a night at the Innovation Credit Union i-Plex! The Swift Current Broncos never gave up and put on a show for the ages as they erased a three-goal deficit to complete the comeback vs. the Everett Silvertips and win in overtime by a score of 4-3 to tie the Rogers WHL Championship Series up at 1-1.

Bronco pair win WHL awards May 2
