CanSkate’s 2010 Mini-Olympics took place at the Credit Union i-plex Feb. 2.

Nearly 40 members ranging from three to six years-old participated in seven skill competitions.

Head coach Trisha Feil-Johnson says the event is a fun way to help the kids gain confidence on the ice.

“It’s something special and different for the kids to do, where they get individual time and evaluation. It gets them pumped up for the Olympics. It’s very exciting,” she said.
