Two males from the Vernon, BC area are facing drug related charges as a result of a lengthy The Regina Integrated Drug Section and the RCMP Federal Southeast District Drug Section(SEDD)( British Columbia) have arrested a second man in connection to the previous 151 kilograms cocaine seizure of March 26th at Swift Current, Saskatchewan, according to an RCMP media release.
On March 26, 23-year-old Troy Swanson was arrested by RCMP Swift Current Traffic Services where 151 kilograms of cocaine were seized in Mr. Swanson’s vehicle. Mr. Swanson has since appeared in court and has been charged with one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. His April 7th court appearance in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, has been adjourned until April 14, 2010. On April 7, Brock Ernest Palfrey, 23-year-old male from Vernon, BC, was arrested in connection to this investigation without incident when seen exiting his residence Wednesday afternoon. Simultaneous to the arrest, three search warrants were executed at three locations in the Vernon BC area. The searches resulted in the seizure of three firearms (long guns), a large amount of cash, hand-held electronic devices and computers. Palfrey has appeared before a Justice of Peace in Vernon, British Columbia April 7th and has been remanded into custody and will be transport to Swift Current, Saskatchewan where he will remain in custody until his bail hearing. |
