The Government of Sask.has committed $15 million to municipalities through the Recreation Infrastructure Canada (RInC) program, Municipal Affairs Minister Jeremy Harrison announced recently.

The province has funded 118 community recreational infrastructure projects with a total value of $52.6 million.

Below are those in Prairie Post coverage area that were helped by Recreational Infrastructure Canada Projects:
The first number is the provincial share and the second is the eligible amount:
Beechy Arena Upgrade $55,285, $165,855; Fox Valley Arena Renovations $36,558, $109,675; Frontier Arena Rehabilitation $234,389, $703,167; Hazlet Recreation Complex Renovation $234,629, $703,889; Kindersley West Central Events Centre Rehabiliation $463,507, $1,390,522; Maple Creek Centennial Park Upgrades $200,720, $602,162; Shaunavon Wickenheiser Centre Phase 3 Completion $983,259, $5,769,905; Swift Current Fairview Arena Upgrades $400,000, $1,200,000; Vanguard Pool Replacement $100,500, $301,500.
