Swift Current
The City of Swift Current announced Thursday that the City’s Recycle Depot is unable to receive cardboard until further notice.  

The City has been informed that its only end user of recycled paper and cardboard is no longer able to utilize waste cardboard due to a downturn in market conditions.

The City is disappointed with this turn of events and would like to assure its residents that we are actively pursuing alternate arrangements for proper recycling of cardboard as well as many other waste materials.

Unfortunately cardboard collection is not expected to resume in the near future, so  residents will have to resort to disposing of excess cardboard in their regular waste collection.

The City encourages residents to consider purchasing alternate packaging whenever possible.
