Cessford Alberta Health Services lifted the boil water advisory for the Hamlet of Cessford effective today at 11:30 a.m. Cessford is located northeast of Brooks. The boil water advisory was issued on Saturday, July 17 when untreated water entered the water supply during a filter backwash process. Alberta Health Services, working with Alberta Environment, have completed the necessary testing needed to ensure safe, quality drinking water is available. Boil water advisories remain in effect in the communities of Raymond and New Dayton, both located southeast of Lethbridge, and will remain in place until the situation is resolved and water quality is tested and approved by a Public Health Inspector.
