Prairie Rose School Division board of trustees have decided Bindloss School will close as of June 30 this year.

The decision was made at the March 9 regular meeting after some discussion about the pros and cons of keeping the school open.
In the recorded vote, Trustees Marian Peers, who also represents the Bindloss area, and Kathy Cooper voted against the motion to close the school, while trustees Arnold Frank, Georgine Westgard, Stuart Angle and Paulette Heller voted in favour of the school’s closure.
Trustee Graeme Dennis was not at the meeting, attending to business in Calgary.
Six parents were in attendance to learn the board’s decision first-hand.
