Brooks RCMP have charged a Medicine Hat man with an indecent act stemming from an incident in Tilley.

During the afternoon of April 8, a man dressed in women's clothing approached three children at a playground in Tilley. The male engaged the children in conversation, then lifted a skirt he was wearing and exposed a pair of women's underwear. The children quickly fled the area and ran home.
As a result, police have identified and charged 59 year old James Victor Perini from Medicine Hat with one count of an Indecent Act and one count of Failing to Comply with an Undertaking.

Perini is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in Medicine Hat Provincial Court today (April 15).

The Brooks RCMP are asking the public to report any similar occurrences that may have occurred over the past couple of weeks.

Police are also asking parents to remind their children about the dangers of strangers and how to protect themselves when in public places.
