Walsh On Friday morning, the Medicine Hat and District Chamber of Commerce announced that it has signed a three‐year contract with Alberta Tourism, Parks and Recreation for the operation of the Walsh Visitor Information Centre. “We are pleased to continue to offer this service to our province and our community,” said Lisa Kowalchuk, Executive Director of The Chamber. “Tourism is an integral part of economic development and it is in the best interest of our community that The Chamber continues o be a part of promoting our province and providing information in the Southeast Alberta corridor.” The Chamber commences the contract in April 2010 and under its terms will continue to operate the Walsh Visitor Information Cenre for the next three years. The successful bid for and approval of this contract further extends The Chamber’s long‐standing relationship with Travel Alberta and our operation of the Walsh Visitor Information Centre since 2002. |
