Brooks Brooks Community Peace Officers in the municipal enforcement department, will now be supervised by the RCMP in a new partnership. For a number of years, there have been discussions between the RCMP, city council, and staff about the integration of all enforcement within the City of Brooks. The new supervision model will be in effect immediately. According to a news release from the city, there are a number of other similar centres in Alberta that have similar arrangements with the RCMP such as Cold Lake, Leduc, Red Deer, St. Albert, Okotoks, and Spruce Grove to name a few. Municipal Enforcement Services to the City of Brooks will not be affected, but should be enhanced through this new arrangement. |
