Broncos barbecue party goes May 25

The Swift Current Broncos and City of Swift Current are having a barbecue on Friday, May 25th at Riverside Park from 5-8 p.m. to celebrate the 2018 WHL Championship title.

During the Tuesday May 22 regular Council meeting, Michael Glynn Macdonald  announced that he has tendered his resignation as a City Councillor. 

The Dance Studio students in Swift Current will conclude a season of intense training and competition with two events to showcase their talents to family and friends.

After a career of 35 years in the fire service, Swift Current Fire Chief Denis Pilon is looking forward to  spend more time with his grandchildren and to gaze at the stars during his retirement.

The Swift Current United Way made a special presentation to long-time volunteer Archie Green to recognize his dedication to the organization.

Canadian grain farmers are applauding May 22’s passage of Bill C-49, the Transportation Modernization Act. The House of Commons and Senate voted in favour of the Bill, paving the way for it to receive Royal Assent.
