With the increased demand for better public transit infrastructures within small towns and cities, the government of Canada is working with the government of Alberta to give the communities what they need to reduce air pollution and build upon their economic growth by creating more accessible routes to the public.

A new Community Standard Bylaw has been the talk of the town in recent months in Nanton.

Swift Current area supports Foodgrains Bank

Farmers have been helping to harvest crops at two locations in the Swift Current area that will provide financial support for Canadian Foodgrains Bank development programs.

The Swift Current Fire Department will no longer be providing vehicle extrication rescue services to the R.M. of Swift Current.

The City of Swift Current is working on a project to implement an asset management system and to quantify the infrastructure gap.

Students’ mental health is set to receive more support in post-secondary education environments throughout the next few years thanks to increased government funding.

Sask. provincial fire ban lifted...except Cypress Hills

With rainfall in many areas, and a return to cooler temperatures and higher humidities, the ban on open fires for all provincial Crown land south of the Churchill River, has now been lifted.
