Fencers from across Saskatchewan were clashing blades at the 2017 Chinook Open in Swift Current, Feb. 4-5. The Swift Current Fencing Club hosted the two-day event at the Swift Current Comprehensive High School. Fencers in the Open Sabre events at the 2017 Chinook Open had an opportunity to experience the challenge of fencing in a wheelchair, which requires excellent eye-hand coordination and strong core muscles. Eight clubs competed in the tournament and Swift Current fencers received three gold, one silver and five bronze medals.Below are the results for the Swift Current Fencing Club:
