Millar College of the Bible hands out Edge athletic awards

The Millar College of the Bible annual Athletic Awards Dessert Night was held recently at the school. Teammates and coaches voted and these are the winners of the individual awards:


• Outdoor Soccer MVP — Nathaniel Friesen, Leanne Jansen;
• Outdoor Soccer Team Builder — Caleb Enns, Tayler Janz;
• Outdoor Soccer Hardest Worker — Jeremy Warne, Dea Friesen;
• Volleyball MVP — Josh Reimer, Jamie Reimer;
• Volleyball Team Builder — Jason Hildebrandt, Keldy Janz;
• Volleyball Hardest Worker — Austin Bueckert, Cassie Janzen;
• Indoor Soccer MVP — Nathaniel Friesen, Tayler Janz;
• Indoor Soccer Team Builder — Calum Dullaard, Mariel Ong;
• Indoor Soccer Hardest Worker — Kyle Sinclair, Tess Friesen;
• Basketball MVP — Austin Bueckert, Mariah Letts;
• Basketball Team Builder — Caleb Enns, Gloria Friesen;
• Basketball Hardest Worker — Spencer Longfellow, Jamie Reimer
• Hockey MVP — Sawyer Warkentin;
• Hockey Team Builder — Ryley Demmans;
• Hockey Hardest Worker — Craig Wall.
• The final award of the night went to Corbin Mayer for Fan of the Year.
In a statement, Edge Athletics department were thankful for all of the assistance and teamwork which was provided this year by many.
“Edge Athletics wishes to thank all the volunteers, athletes, fans, Millar staff and coaches for their part in making these programs happen,” the statement read. “Most of all, we are thankful to our Heavenly Father for His provision, protection and care over this season. We are grateful for His grace and mercy to us as we learn and grow through athletics.”
