Saskatoon's Josh Heidt won cash spiel in Swift Current

Saskatoon's Josh Heidt won the 2014 Full Line Ag Saskatchewan Curling Tour Men's Cash Spiel in Swift Current on Nov. 2 by defeating the local rink of Chris Haichert in the final.

 

The Saskatoon team scored two points in the first end and Swift Current's Haichert scored a point in the second end, but Heidt added three points in the third end and another point in the fourth end to win 6-1.

Heidt reached the final after defeating Saskatoon's Clint Dieno with a final score of 7-6 after nine ends. In the other semi-final game Haichert won 6-1 over Saskatoon's Brent Flaman to reach the final.

Two other Swift Current rinks participated in the event. Max Kirkpatrick was eliminated from the A event after a 5-3 loss to Haichert on Nov. 1. Kirkpatrick lost 5-2 to Saskatoon's Josh Heidt in a C-event game on Saturday evening.

Swift Current's Reagan Hadden was eliminated from the A event after a 7-5 loss to Saskatoon's Dale Craig  on Oct. 31. Hadden lost 10-3 to Saskatoon's Brent Flaman in a C-event game on Saturday evening.
