City of Swift Current, Cypress Health Region, Chinook School Division, Innovation Credit Union, the Rural Municipality of Swift Current, and the Swift Current Broncos announced a regional partnership to benefit southwest Saskatchewan.

The Community Initiative will boost attendance at Broncos home games at the Credit Union i-plex.

“This regional partnership will help provide families with the opportunity to enjoy and celebrate the great Canadian hockey tradition,” said Susan Motkaluk, Chief Administrative Officer for the City.

The Broncos have made 200 discounted family ticket packages available to employees of the regional partnership, which could equate to an additional 600 filled seats at each home game.

The partners have donated administrative efforts to the initiative, while the Broncos have offered the discount on Silver Zone seating at the i-plex.

"Chinook covers all of the southwest so we are very pleased with the opportunity to be a partner in this initiative, building community pride within the whole region," said Liam Choo-Foo, Director of Education for Chinook School Division.

Approximately $6.5 million is generated annually at local businesses by having the Broncos in Swift Current.
