Swift Current Bronco general manager and head coach, Mark Lamb announced that Bronco forward Killian Hutt has been released from the team.

In 31 games played last season, Hutt recorded 11 goals and 10 assists. His season was cut short when he suffered a concussion during the Broncos' Dec. 10 game in Kamloops.

The Edmonton, Alta.,  product played three seasons in the Western Hockey League and also represented Team Pacific at the 2008 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. He recorded 28 goals and 42 assists during his 116 WHL games, which he played with Swift Current, Regina and Portland.

“It was a numbers situation. Killian is a very good player, but we had six 20-year-olds on the  roster," said Lamb. "On behalf of the Swift Current Broncos Hockey Club, I would like to wish Killian all the  best in his future endeavours, He was a great part of our team and I know he will excel in whatever comes his way.”
