Swift Current Indians pitcher Chad Jones is leaving the Western Major Baseball League with a little bit of hardware.

Jones, who will not be back next year due to league eligibility rule changes, was named the WMBL's best pitcher and a first-team all-star right-handed pitcher. Jones made 21 appearances during the regular season for the Indians, all as a reliever. His 1.14 ERA was the best in the league and he sported a 0.65WHIP while striking out 63 batters, the second most in the league.

Although Jones was the only first-team all-star, six other members of the team made the league's second all-star team. They included Brennan Peterson (right field), Luke Barry (left field), Tim Jones (pitcher), Joey Evans (pitcher), Kirk Haviland (catcher) and Parris Austin (designated hitter).
