Max Kirkpatrick wins Swift Current Super League championship

Max Kirkpatrick remained undefeated during the October to December section of the Swift Current Curling Club's Innovation Credit Union Super League to become the December 2012 champion.

 

The final playoff games took place on Dec. 20. The Westax team (Kirkpatrick) defeated York Hotel (Thingvold) to win the championship.The Mike Francis team is the consolation event champions.

Below are the results from the games played on Dec. 20.

Championship –Westax (Kirkpatrick) defeated York Hotel (Thingvold)

B Championship - Scotiabank (Lenz) defeated Cypress Motors (Congdon)

C Championship - Kabos Pub & Grill (James) defeated Klassen Autobody (Koster)

Consolation 1 – Jarvis Environmental (Bailey) defeated Francis

Consolation 2 - Swift Plumbing (Wicks) defeated Maximum Energy (Fraser)

Play in the January to March section of the Super League championship will resume on Jan. 2, with games taking place on Thursday evenings.

Kirkpatrick is having a good season on the ice. He is one of six pre-qualified teams for the SaskTel Provincial Men's Tankard that will take place from Jan. 30 to Feb. 3, 2013 in Melfort.

The pre-qualifying teams are determined based on the results and point standings from the Sask Curling Tour and the Canadian Team Ranking System (CTRS).
