Scott Schiffner wins Cody Snyder Invitational

Scot Schiffner was one of two bull riders to ride two bulls at the Cody Snyder Invitational to take home its inaugural crown. Schiffner scored 86 points on both rides to win it event by half a point over Tyler Thompson.


The final standings for the riders who made the finals with their results are as follows:

1. Scott Schiffner (Strathmore, Alta) — 86 86 = 172

2. Tyler Thomson (Black Diamond, Alta.) — 84 87.5 = 171.5

3. Chad Besplug (Claresholm, Alta.) — BO 86 = 86

4. Vince Northrop (Norquay, Sask.) — 84 BO = 84

5. Derek Creswell (Weatherford, Ont.) — 84 BO = 84

6. Jesse Torkelson (Warburg, Alta.) — 83.5 BO = 83.5

7. Dusty Ephrom (Kenosee Lake, Sask.) — 83.5 BO = 83.5

8. Jason Finkbeiner (Wardlow, Alta.) — 83 BO = 83

9. Tuck Johnson (Browning, Mont.) — BO BO = 0

10. Ty Pozzobon (Merritt, B.C.) — BO BO = 0


Besplug, Johnson and Pozzobon were redrawn to compete in the final. The winner will have the highest combined score from the first round and the championship round.


Shaunavon's Tanner Allemand was the final rider to compete and was bucked off shortly after leaving the chute.
