Swift Current gets even with Prince Albert on Saturday

After a tough loss Friday night in Prince Albert, the Swift Current Broncos came back with a vengeance Saturday.

The Broncos doubled the Raiders 6-3 to earn a split in the home and home series in a rough game which had 75 minutes in penalties.

Prince Albert's Anthony Mardaro who single handedly beat the Broncos scoring the Raiders' last four goals was held to one goal Saturday.

Prince Albert outshot Swift Current 37-36 as Jon Groenheyde (23-28-1-5) got the  win.

The Broncos have two games left: a home and home with Saskatoon. The home-game is next Friday. They are mired in 10th place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 26-36-2-6.
