The Swift Current Broncos had a major power(play) outage Feb. 29 at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Broncos made it interesting, but they still were on the wrong end of a 5-4 decision to the Calgary Hitmen Wednesday night.

The difference in the game was four powerplay goals by the Hitmen including three consecutive, uninterrupted man advantage tallies which occurred from the second period into the early part of the third.Victor Rask led the way for Calgary with 2G and 1A.

It ruined a solid effort from Christian Magnus who had two (6, 7). Brad Hoban and Richard Nedomlel had singles while Taylor Vause (game's third star) had two assists.

Swift Current had 22 shots on net while the Broncos' goalie and Calgary native Austin Smith faced 38 shots.

Swift Current's next game is March 2 in Red Deer at the Enmax Centrium to play the Rebels.

The Broncos are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.
