Regina pours it on in the third period to beat Swift Current Saturday

The Swift Current Broncos dropped further in the Eastern Conference after a third period collapse.


The Broncos lost 4-1 to the visiting Regina Pats. Captain Taylor Vause scored his 31st of the season in a losing cause.

It was 1-1 after two periods but the Pats scored three times and outshot Swift Current 15-5 in the final frame. The Pats outshot Swift Current 35-18.

Lane Scheidl scored twice while Martin Marincin added the other. Jordan Weal had three helpers.

The Broncos are hitting a rough patch at the wrong time. They are 0-4-0-1 in their last five and 2-7-0-1 in their last ten.

They are tenth in the Eastern Conference with 46 points, three up on Lethbridge and seven up on Prince Albert. The Broncos travel to P.A. for their next game.

Notes: In the Eastern Conference the Broncos have scored the fewest amount of goals with 159. In the WHL they have the fourth highest penalty minutes.
