The return to colder temperatures will result in the re-opening of four of the five outdoor rinks Feb. 8.

These rinks include Riverdene Rink, North Hill Rink, Rotary Rink and Southside  Rink which are operated by the City of Swift Current Recreation and Parks Department.  Due to some unforeseen work, Highland Rink will be closed until  further notice.
The outdoor rinks were closed temporarily due to many of the days last week hovering about 0 °c.
“The staff of the Recreation and Parks Department felt that due to the above seasonal temperatures, it would be in the best interest of the public to temporarily close the outdoor rinks,” said Parks Manager Andy Toth.
The Recreation and Parks Department would like to thank the public for their support and let everyone know that the outdoor rinks will remain open for as long as the temperatures permit.
For further information, please contact the Recreation and Parks Department at 778-2787.
