Defence thrown out the window in Swift Current Broncos' win Wednesday

The goals came in clumps and in the process, Swift Current Broncos' defenceman Richard Nedomlel increased his season total by 50 per cent.



The Broncos beat the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes at the Credit Union iplex.

Josh Derko opened the scoring early in the first but then the Canes scored two goals within 50 seconds of each other has Philip Toy and Jaimen Yakubowski scored seven minutes into the game to take a 2-1 lead.

However with two minutes left Andy Blanke scored his third and then 1:33 later, Brad Hoban scored his 13th.

No scoring in the second but then the flood gates opened with Landon Oslanski scoring five minutes into the third period on the powerplay.

However, Richard Nedomlel's first of two of the period at 7:31 on the powerplay. 20 seconds later, Juraj Bezuch tied the game.

However, about a minute and a half later, Nedomlel got his second of the period and sixth of the season on a fluky bounce off of Canes' goalie Liam Liston.

Two minutes after that, Taylor Vause scored his 28th to close out the scoring.

It was supremely entertaining game and had the announced crowd of 1,871 cheering. The Broncos outshot Lethbridge 42-38.

No game until Friday when the Regina Pats pay a visit. Game time is 7 p.m.
