Despite the fact that five of seven goals scored in Moose Jaw were powerplay goals, including two by the Swift Current Broncos, the Broncos overall horsepower was suffering lacking Saturday night.

The Broncos dropped a 5-2 decision in Moose Jaw Jan. 28 which saw Coda Gordon (20) and Taylor Vause score goals in the first and third respectively. The SC markers book-ended a horrid middle frame which saw Moose Jaw score four goals on 16 shots on Jon Groenheyde. Austin Smith mopped up stopping all six shots he faced.

The Broncos themselves managed one measly shot on Luke Siemens in the second period. He stopped 20 of 22 shots on the day.

Moose Jaw was 3 for 6 on the powerplay was Swift Current was 2 for 4.

It doesn't get any easier for Swift Current as they now head to Saskatoon for a game this upcoming Tuesday.
