It was an ugly game all around Friday night in Swift Current.

The Swift Current Broncos were dropped 6-1 by the WHL-title contending Edmonton Oil Kings. The Kings got two goals from Mark Pysyk and Tanner Maxwell.  Curtis Lazar and Mitch Moroz also scored.
Broncos' Coda Gordon (19) broke up the shut out in the third.
The Kings scored three goals in two minutes in the second period, which also chased starting Broncos' goalie Jon Groenheyde.
The Broncos' were outshot 30-21.
The game was a rough and extremely choppy affair. The Broncos seemed to lose their composure in the second and took a lot of penalties. The Broncos took 19 penalties and had 93 minutes in penalties. Edmonton had 58 minutes on 15 penalties.
Unfortunately, Edmonton's Mason Goertzen was injured and was on the ice for an extended period of time after going into the boards awkwardly after a hit by Colby Cave.
The Broncos have an opportunity to get back on track as they hit Highway 1 to play the Tigers in Medicine Hat Saturday.
