Over 100 junior and senior division high school rodeo contestants from across Saskatchewan competed for provincial honours at the Saskatchewan High School Rodeo Association (SHSRA) provincial finals, in Swift Current, June 2-5. The event took place under perfect weather conditions at Kinetic Exhibition Park's Magnus Newland Arena.

Bull riders from across the world were in Swift Current for the 6th annual Cody Snyder Professional Bull Riders Inc. (PBR) Invitational, May 28.

The final sporting event of the 2015/16 high school year will occur on June 3-4 as the SHSAA provincial track meet occurs in Regina. 

Approximately, 310 athletes in four age categories advance to the SWAC District meet which was scheduled for May 25 at Swift Current Comp.

16U and 18U SunDogs win silver medals

16 U mens Jr Sundogs volley ball team won a silver medal in tier 2 at the Canadian West Volleyball National Championship in Calgary May 20- 23.

The roar of high-performance engines will return to the Swift Current airfield this weekend with the start of the local drag racing season.

The Speedy Creek Racing Association (SCRA) season opener took place on the newly named Living Sky Casino Speedway at Swift Current's Kinetic Exhibition Park, May 15.
