The Prairie Athletic Conference provincial volleyball champions will be determined in Swift Current this weekend, and the Great Plains College SunDogs men’s and women’s teams are aiming for gold on their home court.

Broncos' prospect off to Under-17 Hockey Challenge

Swift Current Bronco prospect Denis Bosc will be playing for Team West at the 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.  The tournament runs from December 28th to January 4th in Windsor, Ont.

Betties bow out to Bee’s

The Redneck Betties roller derby team played their final bout of their rookie season on Nov. 12 in Saskatoon, against the Killa’ Bee’s. Unfortunately, the Betties came up short, losing 141-124.

Although the school volleyball season is winding down, the club volleyball season is just getting started.  Organizers with Swift Current Club Volleyball are beginning to plan for the 2012 club volleyball season which runs from January – early May.
