The Swift Current Broncos have traded for 19-year-old, 1996-born forward Calvin Spencer.

Spencer comes to the Broncos from The Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for a conditional 6th round WHL bantam draft pick in 2017.
Spencer, a 6’1 216-pound right wing, has played 100 WHL games over two seasons totalling eight goals, 11 assists and 93 penalty minutes.
“He’s an aggressive player who is good on the fore-check, kills penalties and brings character to our team,” said Bronco Coach and General Manager Mark Lamb. “He sticks up for his teammates and will make us tougher to play against.”
Spencer is the half brother of Winnipeg Jets player Dustin Byfuglien.
The Swift Current Broncos Décor Complete Training Camp begins Aug. 27. The annual Blue and White game starts at 1 p.m. on Aug. 30.
The Stable is now open for regular season hours, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed over the lunch hour. Season tickets are available for purchase.
