Broncos sign first round pick from 2014

Swift Current Broncos General Manager & Head Coach, Mark Lamb, has announced that the club has signed defenceman Dominic Schmiemann to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.



Schmiemann, was selected in the 1st round, 12th overall, by the Broncos in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.  The 6’3”, 170-pound product of James River Bridge, AB recorded 15 points (3-12-15) and 97 penalty minutes in 33 games played with the Notre Dame Bantam Hounds this season.  He also appeared in one game with the Notre Dame Argos during their 2013-14 campaign.


We are very excited to have signed Dominic,” states General Manager & Head Coach, Mark Lamb.  "He's got everything we were looking for in a defenceman: size, skill, strong skating ability and he possesses strong leadership qualities.  He will play a major role for this club for years to come."
