Swift Current Broncos General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb, has announced that the club has acquired 20-year-old forward Nathan Burns and a 7th round pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft, in exchange for 20-year-old forward Connor Sanvido, prospect Wyatt Sloboshan, a 2nd round pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft and a conditional 3rd round pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.

Burns, has recorded 43 points (16G, 27A) in 40 games played with the Saskatoon Blades so far this season.  The 6’2”, 175-pound product of Edmonton, AB has 281 games of WHL experience under his belt, recording 64 goals and 97 assists for 161 points in that span.
“We’ve been watching him (Burns) for a while and we think he will be a perfect addition to our team.  He’s big, he can score and he has a strong defensive side to his game,” says Head Coach and General Manager, Mark Lamb.  “It was a hard trade to make, but it was one that had to be done.  Connor will have a great opportunity in Saskatoon with the Blades and we want to wish him all the best going forward.”
Sanvido, was acquired by the Broncos in a trade with the Seattle Thunderbirds prior to the 2013-14 season.  The 5’10”, 175-pound product of Maple Ridge, BC has recorded 12 goals and 14 assists in 40 games played with the Broncos.
