Broncos sign 2013 draft pick to contract

Swift Current Broncos General Manager & Head Coach, Mark Lamb, has announced that the club has signed forward Cole Johnson to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.

 

 

Johnson, was selected in the 2nd round, 34th overall, by the Broncos in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.  The 5’10”, 190-pound product of Marwayne, AB tallied 40 goals and 31 assists for 71 points in 33 games played with the Lloydminster Heat of the AMBHL last season.

 

He is a hard-nosed, physical, two-way forward with great finish,”states Assistant General Manager & Director of Player Personnel, Jamie Porter.  “He plays well in the defensive zone and possesses great character.

 

Johnson has also been shortlisted for Team Alberta leading up to the 2013 Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup.
