Lowry signs entry-level contract with Winnipeg Jets

The Winnipeg Jets announced Tuesday that they have signed Swift Current Broncos forward Adam Lowry to an entry-level contract.

 

Lowry was selected by the Jets in the 3rd round, 67th overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.  The 6’5”, 201-pound Calgary, AB product played a complete 72-games with the Broncos this season where he posted a career-high 45 goals, 43 assists and 88 points ranking 12th overall in the WHL in scoring and tied for second in shorthanded goals with six.  He played in five playoff games with the Broncos this season where he led the team in scoring with five points (3G,2A).

 

In 235 WHL games played over four seasons with the Broncos, Lowry has recorded 90 goals and 114 assists for 204 points along with 333 penalty minutes.

 

He most recently joined the St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League where he has posted one assist and two penalty minutes in six games played.

 

The Swift Current Broncos would like to congratulate Adam on this incredible, yet well-deserved milestone in his hockey career.
