Broncos trade for 16 year-old native of Swift Current

Swift Current Bronco General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb, announced that the club has acquired defenceman Reid Fritzke from the Seattle Thunderbirds for a conditional WHL Bantam Draft pick.


 
Fritzke was acquired by the Thunderbirds in the 8th round, 159th overall, of the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.  The 16-year-old product of Swift Current, SK has notched four goals and seven assists in 26 games played so far with the Swift Current Legionnaires (SMAAAHL).
 
“We have watched him play over the years and strongly believe he will be a valuable prospect for us,” says General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb.  “He’s a local player and has played all of his minor hockey in Swift Current so we have had many opportunities to watch him develop.”
