Broncos re-assign Smith, Bosc and release Rossignol

Swift Current Bronco General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb, announced Wednesday that the club has re-assigned forward Adam Smith and released forward Adam Rossignol.

 

Smith has been re-assigned to the Nanaimo Clippers of the BCHL.  He was acquired from the Portland Winterhawks in October of 2011 in exchange for Dillon Wagner.  The 6’2”, 189-pound Nanaimo, BC product made four pre-season appearances with the Broncos this year where he recorded 15 penalty minutes.  Last season, Smith played 20 games with the Broncos putting up 34 penalty minutes.

Rossignol was acquired from the Kootenay Ice in January 2012.  The 6’, 184-pound native of Surrey, BC made three pre-season appearances with the club recording three points (1-2-3).  Last season, Rossignol put up a combined 21 points (9-12-21) playing 71 games between the Broncos and Kootenay Ice.


Tuesday, Bosc was re-assigned to the Steinbach Pistons of the MJHL.  He was selected in the 6th round (121st overall) in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.  The 5’9”, 161-pound Dufresne, MB product appeared in four pre-season games with the Broncos recording two penalty minutes.  Last season, Bosc recorded 21 points (12-9-21) in 52 games played with the Steinbach Pistons of the MJHL.
