Written by

While Newark, New Jersey isn't known for its picturesque scenery, but to Swift Current Broncos' defenceman Dillon Heatherington, there was no place more beautiful.

The Columbus Blue Jackets hit the jackpot last year when they brought Andy Schneider on board as an amateur scout.

Hockey Canada announced today that Swift Current Broncos defenceman, Dillon Heatherington, is one of 35 players that have been invited to attend Canada’s National Junior Team summer development camp, which will be held from August 4-10t in Brossard, Quebec and Lake Placid, New York.

The 2013-14 WHL season may be the last time Swift Current Broncos fans will be able to root, root, root for the home team’s European goalie.
