The Brooks Bandits and Montana’s raised a grand total of $2,232.75 on Thursday, March 10th to benefit the Brooks and District Health Foundation and its goal of bringing a dialysis machine to the Brooks Health Centre, the team announced.

The money was raised at Montana’s in Brooks on Celebrity Server Night, where Bandits players collected tips throughout the evening at the restaurant to support the cause.

Bandits Marketing Manager Jaime McIntosh presented a cheque for the grand total to Brooks and District Health Foundation trustee Richard Wutzke before the team’s home playoff game on Saturday, March 19th.

In addition to the donations, the Bandits and Montana’s gave away several prizes to restaurant patrons that night; Kaden Michon won a signed Bandits jersey, Jenna Ashton and Margaret Winchester won Bandits playoff ticket packages, Teresa Guest was the winner of a ‘Dancing Davies’ Bandits t-shirt, while Jodi Robertson and Heather Kazimir won dinner for two and lunch for four at Montana’s, respectively.

The fundraising total comes on the heels of the Bandits’ $6,159 donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in the team’s annual charity jersey night, and its $8,957.50 donation to the Brooks Minor Hockey Association as part of its home opener fundraiser.

The Bandit organization would like to thank Montana’s, and everyone who came out to support a great cause on Celebrity Server Night.
