Atom provincial hockey tournament in Bow Island March 12-15

The Bow Island Minor Hockey Association is proud to host the 2015 Hockey Alberta Provincial Championship for the Atom C division.


The tournament starts Thursday March 12 and continues through Sunday March 15. Games will be played at the Western Financial Group Community Arena located at 240 4th Ave in Bow Island.
Eight teams will be participating at the Provincial Championships including the host and Zone 5 champions the Bow Island Rebels. The teams will be vying for a spot in the finals on Sunday, and a chance to win the provincial crown.
The teams are:
Zone 1-La Crete Lumberjacks
Zone 2-Marwayne Sled Dogs
Zone 3-Drayton Valley Renegades
Zone 4-Winfield Mighty Ducks
Zone 5-Okotoks Oilers
Zone 6-Carstairs Bruins
Zone 7-Tofield Titans
Host-Bow Island Rebels
Round-robin pool play begins on Thursday March 12, and continue until Saturday March 14. The top two teams in each pool qualify for the semi finals, which begin Sunday morning.
The host Bow Island Rebels play the following schedule of round-robin games:
Thursday vs Carstairs @ 7:45 pm
Friday vs Marwayne @ 12:30 pm
Saturday vs Winfield @
1:30 pm
Local fans are encouraged to come out and see some of the best Atom aged players in the province competing at the Hockey Alberta Provincial Championships.

Opening Ceremonies are scheduled for Friday at 6:30 pm.
