Fight fans in the Special Areas region are in for treat March 25 at the Acadia Valley Event Center.

After a hiatus since April 2013, the Joel Kelts Memorial Boxing Card is back with boxers from across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
The Acadia Valley Diamondback Boxing Club will play host to the event in its hometown. Diamondback manager Trevor Kellington had said previously the reason why the venue had changed from the Oyen Legion to Acadia Valley was because of ease of food transportation.
Kellington had said it was easier for those cooking because it’s simpler to make it in Acadia Valley as opposed to prepare the food for hundreds of people and transport it the more than 30 kms north on Highway 41 to Oyen.
A roast beef supper begins at 5 p.m. and the boxing card starts at 7 p.m. Boxers will get their medicals done between 2-4 p.m.
Supper and boxing tickets are $20 and the boxing only $10.
For any last minute ticket inquiries contact Kellington at 403-502-2007 or 403-379-2410.
