The Medicine Hat Skateboard Association (MHSA) is proud to be able to announce Medicine Hat’s largest ever Beat the Heat skateboard competition on July 1.

Over $25,000 in cash and prizes are going to be given away at this year’s Beat the Heat skateboard comp.  And, over 110 registrants are expected to compete this year.  In prior years, competitors travelled from across Canada to compete along side local skateboarders.
This event has turned into one of Canada’s largest amateur skateboard competitions.
Beat the Heat 2016 would not be possible without the generous support of local companies and international skateboard companies.  Title sponsors are Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club, the Boarding House, and Element Skateboards.  Local platinum sponsors include Tim Hortons, ATB, the Silver Buckle, Better Homes and Gardens, Rock105.3, Gas City Tattoos and NewRock Homes.
Please see below for a complete schedule
There will be a beginner / intermediate / product comp / cash comp / bowl jam.
“The Medicine Hat Skateboard Association would like to welcome the community on July 1 to be able to celebrate Canada Day along with enjoying some of the best skateboard talent that the country has to offer.” Said Jeff Schmidt, MHSA Director
