A three-goal first period was all the Brooks Bandits (2-0) needed on Monday night, as the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) champions continued their hot start to the Western Canada Cup with a 3-0 win over the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) champion Melfort Mustangs (0-2) at Affinity Place.

 

 

 

April 30 was a busy day of badminton as both the juniors and seniors continued their playoffs. The seniors gather at Swift Current Comp to compete in the SWAC District championships.

 

Despite 13 penalty kills, and only 4 power plays in the opening 59 minutes of play, the Brooks Bandits (1-0) took their opening game at the 2016 Western Canada Cup 4-2 over the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) champion West Kelowna Warriors (1-1) on Sunday afternoon.
