Bandits beat first-place Whitecourt 4-1

For the first time this season, the Brooks Bandits (17-3-3) were outshot in a game, but a 38-save performance by goalie Mitch Benson (Windsor, ON) boosted Brooks to a 4-1 road win in Whitecourt on Saturday night over the AJHL’s #1-ranked team, the Whitecourt Wolverines (19-6-3).

Broncos win 3-2 in Red Deer Nov. 15

For the sixth time in seven games, the Swift Current Broncos played beyond 60 minutes and were victorious as Artyom Minulin buried the overtime winner to send the Broncos to a 3-2 win against the Red Deer Rebels on Tuesday night.

The Maple Creek Redmen received the silver medal in 2A nine man football on November 12. The Redmen travelled to Lumsdenfor the final.
