When the Swift Current Wildcats return to the ice this season they’ll still be a midget AAA hockey team on paper. In practice though they’ll probably look more like a top-tier major junior team. Maybe even world champions.

Broncos launched Sakic to Hall of Fame career

During the summer of 1986, Joe Sakic wasn’t sure if he wanted to come to Swift Current.

 Hockey Alberta announced that Bronco prospects, Dillon Heatherington and Bobby Zinkan have been shortlisted for further evaluation in preparation to represent Team Pacific at the 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge which will run from December 29 – January 4th in Windsor, Ont.
