Expectations are wrong

Canadian taxpayers should not be on the hook for $156 million for cleaning up polluted oil well sites. That is just wrong.
That is what Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall is asking Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to do.
Oil companies’ owners and CEOs, who are millionaires many times over and made the mess, are responsible and should pay for the cleanup. They should only be too happy to provide employment for their workers who would otherwise be laid off.
Spending that money on clean energy production and stimulating the green energy economy and diversifying the economy so we are not dependent on the oil economy makes more sense.
There is nothing that Wall will not stoop to in order to protect his rich oil-well buddies.
This federal money should not be used to subsidize big oil.
