We are writing this open letter to express gratitude for the Maple Creek Salvation Army.  We greatly appreciate their charitable services.
Recently the Burstall community suffered the loss of Danny Becker and his grandson Layne Langridge. Their farm accident was tragic, and a crisis in our community.
Danny and Layne meant so much to so many.
In our time of need, the Salvation Army was there. Captain Ed Dean immediately contacted us and offered help.  Ed graciously came to Burstall and provided grief support for all who wished. His training in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing was of great assistance.
What did the Salvation Army charge for mileage, and nine hours of Ed’s time? Nothing.
For this reason we thank everyone in Maple Creek and district who donate to the Salvation Army. Your gifts made it possible for the Salvation Army to be present. Thank you.
Other great organizations and wonderful people helped as well. Due to us being the local contact for Ed, we are personally most aware the Salvation Army’s role and can speak personally of their work.
In a time of trial we experienced goodness through the Maple Creek Salvation Army. Thank you to all who made it possible.
Dr. Shane and Lois Andrus, Burstall, Sask.
