Where Life Makes Sense

We live in a place, “where life makes sense”
Fresh air, sunshine, not at all dense
While folks have a reason to be on the go
They open a door, smile, say hello
Reminds me of things, as a child I was taught
To be kind, an example, what I do, does a lot
Keep looking up, try and be of good cheer
It may help some poor soul, sad and in fear
Our Trans-Canada, by passes, none to compare
The envy of many, as we travel elsewhere
For every age, the city has sports
Riverdene, excellent horse shoe courts
Schools, hospital, care homes for all
Vigilant government, so on the ball
Folks full of spunk, sugar and spice
“Where life makes sense,” so adel nice.

Jacob M. Fehr, Swift Current, Sask.
(Editor’s note adel means “very” in German)
